ResortClubs served as the development manager, hotel management company, and the real estate marketing manager for the project - overseeing all entitlement and pre development activities, creating operating concepts, coordinating the design development, managing the construction of the project and overseeing the real estate sales activities for the project. Assumed hotel management role once the property was opened.

The Sky Lodge is a $50 million mixed-use resort center located in the heart of historic Old Town in Park City. ResortClubs, working for the developer, developed a master plan that included the first five star condominium hotel in Historic Old Town Park City, an existing restaurant operated by Robert Redford’s Sundance organization, the conversion of a 100 year old historic building into a new restaurant and bar operation, a boutique destination spa, and meeting facilities. The property, which opened in December 2007, was on budget and on time with 64% of the fractional inventory sold by opening.

The resort was named to the Conde Nast 2008 “Hot List” and was recognized by the Robb Report as “The Best of the Best” in its first year of operation – the first condominium hotel or private residence club property to achieve this level of travel media recognition. The property was consistently ranked by Trip Advisor consumer travel web site as the #1 Hotel, #1 Restaurant and #1 Spa in the Park City area.

The project ownership was forced to seek Chapter 11 Bankruptcy protection due to issues arising with allocations of loan repayments made to lenders. ResortClubs continued to operate the resort during the bankruptcy as well as managing the reorganization process for the owner. The company guided the property to a successful emergence from bankruptcy while continuing to provide a five star guest experience at the property and maintaining the operational profitability.
